People in the state of Nebraska are really ticked about Nelson selling out on the health care vote, recent polls show he is only pulling 30% of possible votes.

I would be willing to bet he ends up winning re-election by 5%

He's not up for re-election until 2012, so any speculation is silly at this point...doesn't make him less of a toolbag though.

Not much fun to be Ben Nelson right now as the libs have not taken kindly to him either as of right now.

Politics is sometimes like Ohio weather. If you don't like it, wait a few days and it will change. Let's see how Nelson feels next week. In fact, you could say that for some in Congress, it's not principle that is important, it comes down to which way the wind is blowing and how hard.

I agree. There are some issues that people have very long memories about and the feeling of betrayal will stick until he is up for re-election.
He'll get ousted.

He may well be ousted when the time comes, but I think we may be giving the voters too much credit.

Why shouldn't we? Look who the voters put in the White House. Just sayin'.
