Week 4 NFL Power Rankings

1. Packers 3-0: Convincing win over their biggest rival. It is very entertaining to see what this team can do when their whole team is actually healthy.

2. Ravens 2-1: Their two wins have been by blowouts. Next week they have a crucial Sunday night matchup vs. an angry Jets team coming off a loss.

3. Saints 2-1: Drew Brees and the Saints offense has looked great these first three weeks (2nd in passing yards), even during their week 1 loss with the Packers. The defense on the other hand (27th in passing yards) is another story.

4. Lions 3-0: Yes, the Lions are ranked this high. Coming back after a 20 point deficit is a sign this team is maturing and knows how to win. They might have the most explosive offense in the league this year.

5. Bills 3-0: I don’t know how long it will last, but they also deserve to be ranked this high at this point in the season. Blowing the Patriots out on a bad day is one thing, coming back down 21 points is another thing. Nobody would expect any team to come back to beat the Pats, let alone the Bills. They should make the AFC East interesting.

6. Jets 2-1: The Jets defense just had one of those days vs. and underrated Oakland offense. I doubt the Jets defense has a repeat performance during their Sunday night showdown with the Ravens.

7. Patriots 2-1: I doubt Tom Brady throws 4 interceptions in one game again, however if they want to win a Super Bowl they better figure out how to fix that defense, because all it could take is one turnover to beat the Pats.

8. Chargers 2-1: Chargers face Miami and Denver the next two weeks to help pad their record going into their bye week.

9. Texans 2-1: Texans were handed their first loss, but still seemed primed to make their first playoff appearance as the AFC south quickly become the weakest AFC division. They have a key matchup next week v.s. the scumbag Steelers.

10. Steelers 2-1: Steelers didn’t look too good during their win over the Colts. This might finally be the year where having a bad offensive line will bite them in the ass.

11. Buccaneers 2-1: Nobody seemed to give this team a chance before the season started. Josh Freeman is a winner, and let’s not forget that the NFC South has had a new winner in the past 5+ years.

12. Cowboys 2-1: As I said last week, cue the media being all over Romo now. He is already being made out to be a warrior.

13. Raiders 2-1: McFadden is quickly becoming one of the best backs in the league, and has helped the underrated Raiders to being the #1 rushing teams in the league.

14. Falcons 1-2: The Falcons better figure it out soon, or they could easily be watching the playoffs from home.

15. Redskins 2-1: Despite loss, the defense can keep this team competitive in every game. As of right now the NFC East is up for grabs, and could be a battle the whole year.

16. Giants 2-1: Giants are just finding ways to win despite all their injuries. They finally got over the hump and defeated the Eagles at their place as well.

17. Eagles 1-2: The “dream team” is not looking too good. Vick’s crying is just the most recent example of how the NFL is becoming a ticky tacky league.

18. Titans 2-1: Titans boast one of the top defenses in the league (2nd passing, 7th Rushing). Their offensive passing isn’t too bad either (7th in the league), however the injury to Britt will place a big dent on that stat. Expect the worst rushing team in the league (so far) to rely heavily on CJ now.

19. Bears 1-2: After a big opening day win, the Bears have looked horrible.

20. 49er’s 2-1: Somebody from the NFC west has to be ranked in the top 20. 49ers won a snoozer at a half empty Bengals stadium.

21. Browns 2-1: Colt looked like crap all day, but played when it counted most and gave Cleveland a game that they had no businesses winning. That normally doesn’t happen in Cleveland.

22. Rams 0-3: They just have some unlucky scheduling. I still think they are the best team in the NFC west.

23. Broncos 1-2: Defense looks strong despite being 1-2.

24. Panthers 1-2: Cam didn’t tear it up, but he did get his first NFL win.

25. Seahawks 1-2: I thought the Seahawks were the worst team in the NFL, but the Cardinals proved me wrong.

26. Cardinals 1-2: Losing to the Seahawks is a joke and inexcusable.

27. Jaguars 1-2: Have a pretty solid defense, but they can’t figure out how to win games.

28. Bengals 1-2: Played at a half empty stadium. The worst attendance for a home opener since 30 years ago. The Bengals were close to breaking their record for worst attendance, I will put money on it that the record will be broken by the end of the year. What a pathetic fanbase. I can’t even talk about their football team, because none of their fans will know what I am talking about.

29. Vikings 0-3: McNabb’s career is fading away very quickly, but the Vikings are still the best winless team in the league. They just need to learn how to hold a lead after the first half.

30. Dolphins 0-3: They should have beaten the Browns, but they just let the Browns hang around, and that is what happens if you let teams hang around. They are not as bad as their record indicates, unfortunately their schedule won’t allow them to make that argument.

31. Colts 0-3: They at least showed some heart against the Steelers, and exposed their offensive line.

32. Chiefs 0-3: Nothing is going right for this team this year. Will Haley be on the hot seat?
