Ohio Chatter

To gear up for the upcoming football season, and to improve the overall quality of the site moving forward, Ohio Chatter has added some new features. The changes right now are really only relevant to those of you who pay attention to HS football. If that's not your thing, don't worry, the forum hasn't changed it's just in a new spot (http://www.ohiochatter.com/forum). You can bookmark it directly and skip this area all together.

For those of you that do follow HS football, here is a breakdown of the new features as of now.

Scoreboard (and score ticker) - Football scores can be entered once a game is finished and viewed from either the scoreboard page or the score ticker on this page. It is pretty basic for now but will see improvements as the season progresses.

School Map - The school map displays a point for every school in the state of Ohio. Functionality is limited but it will also see improvements as the season progresses. And while it doesn't do much currently, it is still pretty cool to poke around on.

High Schools - This page displays a list of every high school in the state. Using the filter you can search through all of the schools to narrow the list down. Viewing the school will give you some basic information as well as a zoomed in map of the schools location. If you know who your team is playing on a particular week but aren't sure how to get there, this can be a useful tool as it will send you right to google maps with the correct address to get driving directions. Again, like the others, the functionality is currently limited but will improve as the season progresses.

And as always, I will take any and all suggestions you might have to help improve the site. If you have a suggestion for a new feature or an improvement to a current please let me know. I do all of the coding on my own, in my spare time, so it may take me a while to implement some feature but if I see value in it I will definitely put it on my list and get to things as quickly as I can.
